Penrose has had an exceptionally busy week, a flying visit to New
York to show our favourite store - Barneys New York our pre-collection for
next spring-summer 2014 (yes we really do work that far in advance) it seems
our US cousins adore and share our passion in appreciating the Penrose London
sumptuous take on ornate woven silks, luscious silk linen mixed ties,
scarves in silk and linen, also THE softest cotton foulards and grand scarves
that are cool to wear and even cooler to look at! Our palate for next
spring summer covers rich lilacs, soft pinks, even softer yellows and orange
(THE colour for next year) blushed blues and the palest greens that yearn to be
worn with the lightest of linen jackets — our pochettes, that most subtle of
gentlemen's accoutrements, are breathtakingly original with an elegant modern
stylish singularity. Never main stream, our collection and clarion call,
remains one of excellence and pure individuality.
Monday
sees our team departing for Florence Italy for the start of the menswear shows
and, we were delighted to be invited to show our creativity to the worlds most
important and influential luxury buyers in the breathtaking environs of the
Fortessa De Basso, a beautiful 15th century fort in the hear of this wonderful
city!
